I just ordered a pair to replace my sony EX-71SL. Any thoughts about them compared to my previous buds?

Also, I'm considering on getting an amp for my HD-590. Portable isn't really necessary but would be nice.

they have a similar sound, but do not suffer from bloated bass (though still have plenty of bass) or distortion. they are very warm and smooth, treble is a little metallic and thin, though no sibilance. they are a reasonable upgrade for the price. both of them are equal in comfort and isolation. but you must use the 4pole-to-3pole converter which makes the wire 6ft long. you can tie it up though.

I think the md33 are a lot better over the 71.
