One thing I’m wondering is why the UA5 was missed off this sheet, I’m interested to know how they would compare the sound characteristics of the UA5 to the UA6

I already know and enjoy the UA3 and UA5

It's a shame the UA6 hasn't retained the UA5's volume wheel. The UA5 is the nicest dongle I've used in terms of ergonomics

The UA6 is a much better dongle than the UA5. It is a very smooth, balanced and pleasant sound, I think those 4 DACs have been implemented very well.

Since receiving my UA6 I haven’t used my UA5 or UA3 once, it really is a step up. I only wish it had 4 AKM DACs, but other than that it is nice and has plenty of power to drive everything I’ve connected to it. I recommend giving it a try if you get the chance.

Thx I’m little bit skeptic about cs43431 since I have mub1 and it’s mostly anemic in my eyes. To get some juice for est Iem I have to switch to super gain.

One part of UA6 design was to reach the best measuring UA model, so the power was a bit limited to help with this goal.

2. I use an iPhone. When do you publish the fitting iOS-APP for the UA6? (In the Apple-shop are two APPs listed: Eddict Player and Eddict Controller. Does one of them already function with the UA6?)

1. We have the case now available, we recommend checking with them directly about when they will have it in stock.

2. This is limitation on side of Apple, not something we can do on iOS.
But since UA6 has its own screen and settings available there, you don't need the app at all.

Thanks for your fast reply! May I add two additional questions - because I bought it in the meantime:
1. Do I have to charge the UA6 before I use it?
2. If I install one of the two Eddict-APPs (which one?) on my iPhone, will be any interaction with the UA6 at all?

1. No. It charges during the first use.

2. Eddict player is the one for use with UA models (Controller app is only for SM1.3).
But on iOS you will not really be able to use the settings section, due to limitation of Apple.
But with UA6 having the screen, you can adjust all the settings directly on the UA6, there is no real need for the app.
