Smaller files typically work fine for me too, but hi-res audio files can include huge images (even PNG) by default. If I am editing metadata to add missing images from external sources or reduce pre-existing, I typically try to reduce to 1000x1000 jpg for the sake of other devices with larger/high-dpi screens. It would be helpful to know the exact limits for file size or resolution to fix those that wont display.

You could experiment, take one album and embed artwork at different resolutions in each track until you find the size that won't display. Then you will know the size limit, like start at 400 x 400 in one track, then 450 x 450 in another then 500 x 500 etc.. I am willing to bet that 600 x 600 or even 500 x 500 at 72 dpi jpg should work fine for most displays. Standard vs progressive is also a factor as most DAP's can only handle standard jpg and most probably can't handle png.

This is a comment on the video I have done on the Synclink with their experience of it so far. It is a straight copy and paste.

Also I have tried it only with my M0 but the viewer has a Q1. Comment is below.

I have a q1 and my phone is a Galaxy s7. I haven't had any dropped connections and the performance is pretty good. Not so fussed about the cover art, it's a minor thing. I'm so impressed by the app, it adds an extra level of comfort and usability to the player so great job shanling. One issue I found is that if I use the hardware buttons on the phone to change volume, the volume level on the q1 instantly jumps to the max level. It happened twice and was very unpleasant; I've set a max volume level on the q1 now to prevent my ears being blown out.

Also another comment from a Q1 user below also I don't have the same problem as mine works as it should.

Hi , in my Q1 when I try to change volume through phone, it increases the volume in the player to maximum. Did you face such kind of issue?

Hi. Dear @Shanling !
Found one serious problem for me (with Q1): SynkLink cannot working with connected MTW 100. When i connect my MTW 100 to Q1, and then trying to connect with SyncLink on smartphone - earbuds are disconnecting.
In other way - when SynkLink connected - Q1 says to turn off SyncLink to connect an earbuds.
With Hiby link on M2s this functionality working well, any problems at all. I hope, that is not a hardware problem of Q1 and you can solve it with software update soon.

We are looking for some way how to enable this.

@Shanling - I am also seeing this issue on my Q1 after updating to V1.3 but it is more than just a second or two but significant chunks of tracks. For example, one track (FLAC 96 kHz 24-bit encoded with ffmpeg) shows as 2:25 on the Q1 with firmware 1.3 but on other players (e.g. VLC) it shows the correct duration of 2:39. Other tracks in the albums are similarly affected. I will also note that my M0 running the older 3.2 firmware does not exhibit this issue and shows the correct length (I have not tried 3.3 yet with it yet). After downgrading the Q1 back to firmware 1.2, I can confirm bachankas' observation that it is still showing the wrong duration but at least playing until the end of the track - so until there is a fix I probably need to continue using 1.2.

A piece of general feedback is that many tracks don't show the embedded album artwork (on both the Q1 and M0) - presumably because of file size. What is the limit? Can it be increased?

We are aware of this problem on V1.3 and are looking for fix now.

Can you send me some of your problematic files to check? I have no problem running even higher resolutions(like 2k x 2k), most often these issues are things like use of progressive jpg or some special formatting.

Tested it and can confirm it happens. Reported to software team for fix.

I am testing now, the lock is on, the screen is off and all buttons still functional.

Can you check your buttons lock setting in system settings? Sometimes it's set on lock volume wheel only.

In settings, I have lock screen on and off. doesn't seem to make any difference. I have firmware 1.3 and did a full factory reset.

Please check "Buttons lock" setting, not "Lock screen".

There you have 3 different options.

So, is the line out function a true line out? When it is turned on, it bypasses the amp in the Q1?

I am looking to run it as a line out from the 3.5mm to Little Dot +1.

thanks
