Our in-house created music app is now officially available for download on Google Play Store!

Download Shanling Music from Play Store

This app was created to serve as stock music player for our Android based Shanling M6 and M6 Pro, but it also includes our crucial SyncLink feature, that allows you to remotely control any of our players.

Please note, this version of app is for smartphones, it can not be installed onto M6 or M6 Pro.

If you are looking for Shanling's companion app for UP2/UP4/MW200, download Shanling Controller for Android or iOS

To the app since i'm using it on my LG v35 phone.

We have no plans for that.

Can I ask, how many standalone MQA files (So outside of Tidal and Xiami streaming) you have?

As soon as I downloaded the app and scanned all my tracks, it consumed a space of 1.35 GB as Data! I also have Foobar 2000, Onkyo HF player and Poweramp. They consume 19 MB, 257 MB, and 11 MB respectively as DATA! I had to delete the Shanling Music App because of this. Care to explain why it happened? The other music players have no less capability than this. Please help, and if possible, eliminate this issue in the coming update. Will download again then.

Shanling Music during scan copies album covers from all the audio files and ads it to its own data folder. So more files you have, the bigger amount of data will be shown under Shanling Music app.

Is it required to show the album covers during playback? All the other music apps I have mentioned displays them just fine during playback without taking up so much space. So why does shanling music app takes up so much space for it?

The first thing that caught my attention was that gold-black theme. It's sooo slick. By the way, what does "Automatic library - Playback transition" do in the settings? @Shanling

This setting changes how soft behaves after you click on some file in music/folder browsing.
When turned on, after you click on the file, app will jump to now playing screen.
When turned off, after you click on the file, app will start playing this file, but view will stay in current album/folder/... you are currently in.

And another thing: I think it badly needs external DAC support. Do you have any plans for it?

We have no plans to add such function.
Shanling Music app is mainly developed for use on our Android based players, which already supports USB output on system level.
Release for smartphones is mainly for the Synclink function.
