Shanling MTW100 - True Wireless IEMs, IPX7, BT5.0 Balanced armature or Dynamic driver

I'd like to share my thought about these earphones, so people could make decision to buy it, or to search for another pair of earphones. So, the only good thing about Shanling MTW100 is Knowles armature drivers. The sound quality is just amazing. But that's the only reason to buy them. Connection quality is very poor, I use it with Shanling M0 and I have to factory reset them once a day. Charging case build quality is very poor. And one more thing I hate about it is that I have to charge the case at least once a week. I use earphones for 8 to 10 hours a week and I have to charge the case every week. Microphone is ... (I cannot find proper word, only swear ones) very bad. It looks like Shanling made mic work opposite way during phone calls - people hear noise, not me. Terrible. Awareness mode works strange way. It just amplyfies highs from outside, makes sounds metallic and transfers it to your ears. Very unpleasant experience. Total waste of money. It's better to wait when another earphones with Knowles drivers will hit the market.

I have a Shanling mo. New to me. Ordinary earphones work with it but I have just bought Bluetooth ear buds and there is no sound. I have connected them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I hope I have posted this in the right forum.

Sound quality of the MTW100 is amazing for bluetooth, agreed.
Connection has been very stable for me, but I have a V2 and my source is also very stable (Oneplus 5T). What version MTW100 do you have and what is your source?
Charging the case once a week is pretty normal for bluetooth TWS I believe. Yes, mic is definitely not the best. Originally got these for only sound quality, but now due to increase in video meetings I am realizing the shortcoming of the MTW100 mic, although I have not gotten an complaints from others. Awareness mode is useful if you need it, but it does sound metalic and I don't often use it. Also, my favorite feature is the perfect fit. Small, snug and comfortable. I would say it has it's flaws but caling it a complete waste of money is a bit of a stretch. But obviously it depends how high you prioritize sound quality in a product like this versus the other features.

Interesting you had such issue with using them with M0. Did they work better with other devices, such as smartphones? And which firmware is on your M0? And for what reason do you need to reset them?

Battery life of the case can depend on the amount of times you put the earphones in for charging. If you put them in 3-4 times per 24 battery life it will act differently then if you listen for 10 minutes at time and put them charging 40 times.

Surrounding awareness mode was set so you can clearly hear things like cars horns, phones ringing, knocks on the door, etc. As such, it's not a mode ideal for Hi-Fi sound, but more for passive background listening.

If you are not using it with MTW100, it would be better to post this question on M0 thread.

Please send me private message with some details, like which firmware are you using on your M0 and what BT headphones and will try to help you out.

This happens to me fairly often, but it's likely related to the contacts. I clean them up a bit and try a few times and it will reconnect. Hopefully that's all it is.

This happens to me too.

Every time, I have to adjust the angle of the right side bud after it snaps into place magnetically inside the charging box. Adjust and find a certain angle where the charging white light comes on. Then put it gently on the table so as not to rock it.

By right after it snaps into place magnetically, the bud should start charging so I think it’s probably a defect.

Hello everyone! Can you please tell me if it is possible to somehow turn on the MTW100 V2 without a charging case?

No, not possible.
