ok, good to hear. I think I found the problem the Sleep timer was reseted when I upgraded to 3.11

now makes me wonder what is the difference between Sleep and Idle PowerOff timers ?

Idle power-off - If you are not using unit for x minutes, it will turn off automatically. Same setting will be kept after players restarts.

Sleep power-off - Player will turn off automatically after X minutes, even if you are actively using it/listening to music. After restart this settings turns off.

The specs in the review state that the unit plays ISO (SACD) files. For some reason, I thought this feature is not natively supported yet. I have not been following this thread carefully but if it has native, gapless SACD ISO I would be pleased.
The specifications are from http://en.shanling.com/product/244. You may want to check with @Shanling directly on this. Cheers!

Sorry, ISO is still not fully supported on M6 and M6 Pro :frowning2:

Will delete it from the specs.

I was under the same dilemma, waiting for SACD ISO support. decided to go ahead purchase the M6 and load Neutron which plays SACD ISO, the experience was marginal Neutro is very good player but the overall sound quality is behind the shanling app, even playing my SACD ISOs. As I mentioned before, I really exceptik of the whole DSD suposedly superior sound quality. When I used to play my SACDs with Oppo CD player the experience was spectacular, the player died after some years, and I moved to all digital + external DAC (Yggdrassil).

Buying the Ygadrassil was big decision, as it does not support DSD. I have stayed with PCM files only since then, and have not have the opportunity to really try SACD and compare then to FLAC/PCM.

The only test I have been able to perform is my SACD converted to DSD64 Vs the same song in FLAC. No difference to my ears, both sound amazing tough.

I think DSD has a very analog sound. Really the best of digital and analog. I look for native ISO playback when evaluating DAP units. Shanling has that on its linux based devices but I think they are still filling out their Android line. Normally I have more Shanling devices than any other brand in my collection, but right now its a mix of HiBy (R5); Shanling (down to just the M2S); and Cayin (N5II, still a great sounding unit but Cayin totally did not deliver on original promises). All of these units do have native SACD ISO playback.

I also look for good gapless performance. At one time this unit did not have a great support for this; has that improved?

Hey @Shanling, how do I save a custom EQ preset? There's no mention of it in your documentation and the UI doesn't make it obvious.

As future reference for us Shanling buyers - which seller didn't stand behind the sale? Which "Store" on AliExpress?

Which Shanling support email / page did you use to contact Shanling?

Maybe @Shanling can help you get your DAP serviced, replaced, or refunded?

Public announcement regarding international warranty for our products is available on our official website: http://en.shanling.com/category/256
We provide direct warranty only in mainland China, mainly due to logistical reasons. In rest of the World warranty is provided by our international distributors.

It was your decision to purchase from Aliexpress seller instead of purchasing from your local distributor (or at least from one of the reliable and proven Chinese online dealers).

In our PM conversation, you didn't mention anything about the seller being unwilling to assist you. You can send us more information about this seller and we will look into this situation.

A post like this from a Newby? Four Hundred Thousand Youtube followers? Sounds like Shanling is really taking a bite out of someone’s sales.
