My current DAP is a Shanling M3s, which has served me well, but I'm interested in the M6 because of the increase in display size and being able to run Android apps for streaming. Right now, I stream on my phone and via Bluetooth to the M3s, which decreases the quality and is a bit cumbersome.
One of the things I really like about the M3s is how it handles externally-created M3U playlists. I create these playlists on a computer with relative file paths to the music folder on my microSD card. I can then use the file navigator on the M3s to access my playlist folder and directly select tracks within it.
I know that Android handles the microSD card file system in a different manner. Regardless, does the M6 allow for me to create M3U playlists with relative paths to music files on the microSD card that I can then access and play directly via the M6's native music application? For example, I'd like to have a music folder structure and file path such as
/<M6-root-directory>/<Music folder>/<Artist>/<Album>/01 - Track Name.flac
and a playlist folder structure and path such as
/<M6-root-directory>/<Playlist folder>/playlist.m3u
and with a track file path in the playlist file of
../<Music folder>/<Artist>/<Album>/01 - Track Name.flac
Can the M6 handle this? I've never made use of native M3s playlists and would like to avoid using them on the M6 as well.
Thanks!
