I did an OTA update on Sunday afternoon (PCT USA) while sitting in the backyard. Went perfect! I’m now on 3.22. Thank you Shanling :)

Hi Shanling, accidentaly I played at max volume my FiiO FH7 trough the balanced out put: 100% LOW GAIN. eventough this was for just few seconds I`m concerned I might have permanently damaged my IEMs. My question is: What is the power output at these conditions? thanks.

Volume: 100%
Gain: LOW
Impedance: 16 Ohm
Output: 4.4mm Balanced

No worries, low gain should cause no such damage.

To prevent such situations, you can set maximum allowed volume in audio settings.

Does M6 have microphone for making calls in Bluetooth mode?

There is no microphone on M6.

@Shanling , hello, what is this version?

It's M6 for Chinese market, not international version.

Any update from engineer?

Apparently it's some error caused by missing messaging app in our system. Not really sure why would that cause such issue, but in some future firmware update we will add it into the system to go with the demands of Spotify app.

does it means the upcoming update will solve both Spotify can't select save storage location and the Spotify download vanish issues as well?

Weird. Did a firmware update and now the player is suddenly super quiet. Before the update I listened to it with CCA CA16s at about 30-35 volume. Rebooted after firmware update, volume is at 30 and I barely hear anything now. I don't know if this is because I fiddled with the sound settings before that now got reset (I honestly don't think I did, I don't use the EQ), and this is across the board, the Shanling player was always the loudest / best, and it still is, and with volume at 30 over single ended it's quiet but still there, but when I run a third party player app I have to crank the volume almost to the max.

OK this gets weirder. I did a factory reset. Sound is back where it should be. Now the Device Status says Kernel version is 3.18, but build number is 3.22. Is that how it should be?

And when trying to re-update the firmware through the support app it tells me "no new firmware has been found."
Odd.

Yes, Kernel 3.18 and build number 3.22 is correct for the latest firmware.

Interesting bug with volume, will check if we had any other reports of this.

Will be tested.

Just to clarify, a factory reset does NOT roll back the firmware?
I did not update the firmware after doing this.

Factory reset has no affect on firmware, it will stay on the same firmware as you installed.
