@Shanling 2 additional suggestions, if i may :) First, regarding usb dac option. On Windows there's a quite noticeable delay, even on the lowest latency setting, eg. when watching a movie, sound isn't quite in sync with video. When I had a FiiO X5III, the latency was fine when set to the lowest option. Just looking for a solution or if there is a chance for an update for the drivers :)
Second, this might be a weird idea, but on Android I was using an app called 'primitive FTPd" which allowed to host the device's storage as an FTP server and I could transfer the files wirelessly to the player that way. It's quite handy when you can't find the cable or just dont want to unplug it from the charger and plug it to the PC. Is it possible to implement this feature to M5s? Just a loose idea :)

We are aware of USB DAC delay and working on it.

Will ask if something like this server would be possible to add.

Regarding reviews in Polish, here's one by Kropka.audio : https://kropka.audio/test/odtwarzacze/shanling-m5s-recenzja/, seems like Poland was one of the first ones to get M5s in their hands :).

@Shanling, one final thought, Polish translation isn't really well made. If you need assistance, I could help with a proper string translation :) For now, English system language is the way to go for me.

Polish translation was provided by our Polish distributor...

I can see there is a black cover and a brown cover...

@Shanling there will be more colors for the cover? are they real leather? (I dont like leather so I hope its fake or pleather)

For now only these two cases. And both are real leather.

Shanling M5S sounds soft, detailed, but when comparing, I hear a slight blurring over the entire frequency range. I think this is the result of using the OPA1612. For those who love maximum transparency, sharpness and toughness Shanling M5S can not come. But lovers of soft musical presentation, without accents on superdetails - very much like to taste.

Well, can be also question of AKM's Velvet sound approach compared to different view of sound by ESS and others.

I asked HifiHeadphones about it on Twitter, and they said that they hoped to have stock before Christmas but weren't certain.

@darkcamel2018

Seems shipment arrived to UK just yesterday.

Polish translation was provided by our Polish distributor...

Well, no offense to the distributor or anyone tbh, but it looks like it was a quick copy and paste from Google translate... The translation is too literal, I would have to think a lot what some of the options do if I haven't seen the English version :/ also some of the strings are capitalized and some are not. It looks so unesthethic, literally like it's been copied from a translation engine :frowning2:

Anyway, thanks for all the other responses regarding features and fixes! :)

Guys please be patient and wait for my man Twister6 throughout review, hold your trigger right now, you'll be rewarded later.

What are they will be rewarded with? As I mentioned already, I'm behind with a lot of reviews, and on top of everything else, every time something new arrives manufacturers ask me for initial feedback which throws me off my review schedule...

But tbh, I don't envy consumers who are trying to decide which DAP to get now, regardless if it's a lower end to mid-fi or $2k-$3k+ flagships. Just too many choices...

@vodanhkhack It's pretty easy nowadays to get websites translated using Google Translate. Please follow referenced link to check translated review:

Excellent well written review, especially the sound section. It sounds like I thought it would sound- smooth and massive, good detail, non fatiguing

Although when he said analytical Orivetti new primacy - he lost me there. I found those on the warmer side myself.

All in all a very informative and enjoyable review. Thanks for sharing.
