It's the only way I could make it run. search for the tutorial that uses AML and proper way to install drivers. at first I could not make it run but i remembered that I needed the selinuxmodechanger when Android 7 was the latest android version
What version of Viper4Android are you using? I have tried the latest Viper4Android (184.108.40.206) and AML (4.1). I also tried selinuxmodechanger set to permissive, although it should not be required any more as the newest Viper has proper SELinux permissions set via Magisk. I guess I'll try a different installation sequence, sometimes that resolves it.
