Well i tested the M3S like the bluetooth receiver with my phone samsung galaxy S8+ and ipad pro 12.9. I tested with Youtube, Netflix, Tidal apps. All of those apps gave a same problem. They have noisy background and tick tock sound at the same time when i hit play, and lasted under a min before those sounds are gone. After they are gone, i hit stop and hit play again, those sounds came back. I changed to different clips, songs but still have those noise. It happened when M3S still connected with my devices.
So M3S supposes to have those noise when use the bluetooth function ? Or my M3S is defective ? @Shanling

I don't know how similar the design of the wheel on the M3S is to that of the original M3, but my wheel came off the M3.

M3s has different mechanism of wheel.

It would be great to hear from Shanling on whether this is a known issue and how prevalent it is. Also how they will handle customers who experience this problem.

Since this thread is not flooded by broken wheels comments, but only single digits of users with this problem, I think it is quite uncommon. As any mechanical part, it can in some cases fail. If that happens it's fully covered by warranty and you only need to contact your dealer/distributor for replacement unit.

Answer is obviously no. As I posted, on my M3s units I can hear some sound lasting for fraction of second when playback starts, definitely not a minute long. I was unable to recreate your problem on multiple devices in our office. Neither did I saw similar comment from other users here. So I'm afraid, that you might have something wrong with your unit.

I would recommend these things as always - reset unit, restore factory settings, try to go back to some of previous firmware.

So i think something is wrong with my unit. I just did a factory reset. The noise still remains but not as loud like before. I think i will contact Musicteck tomorrow.

Ok guys, I could use a little help. Got the M3s a couple of days ago. This is my first proper DAP. I've been using iTunes and an iPod for years, so this file management system is completely new to me. I've been slowly migrating album by album from iTunes and think I finally got the artwork side figured out.

BUT, I have quite a number of multi disc albums, and after transferring a few I took a look them in the MY MUSIC section - both under ARTIST and ALBUM. The play order was a jumbled mess. The first song on Disc 2 would be second in the cue instead of the ninth, etc. So, I went back into iTunes and changed all the Disc and Tracks tags so that It read as a single disc with many tracks in order. Deleted the old folder from the M3s, imported the corrected one and STILL under any category in MY MUSIC, the same jumbled play order! After being driven crazy for a while, I got the idea to look at the same album in the FILE BROWSER, and there the tags and play order were absolutely correct!

I then tried importing a multi disc album WITHOUT changing any tags, and sure enough in FILE BROWSER they are listed correctly in proper play order, but again, in MY MUSIC - they are not. Why is that? Obviously, I'll have to use FILE BROWSER exclusively for now and not have any of the features of MY MUSIC. Does that seem right? How do others deal with multi discs?

One other thing, I would like to be able to pause a track and then skip through tracks while STAYING paused until I press play again, like cueing up the beginning of a particular song and then start playing when I choose to. The M3s doesn't appear able to do this, it doesn't hold the pause. This should be a basic player function. Any insight is appreciated.

Yeah, used HiBy software might have some problems when reading stuff as multidisc CD. I found easiest way around it is to add CD number into album name tag.

But if you changed it so it was one looong CD, it should work without problem. Here might be some problem in way how iTunes manage tags, I would try some better soft for it.

Regarding keeping player paused while skipping to other songs, it's more preference thing and this is simply way how HiBy soft act.

I'm having scrolling wheel issue from the start specially for download scrolling but that time i just ignored it but now it feels like my downward scrolling is getting bit loose as if i scroll single it scrolled double or more but on upward scrolling wheel is okay with ticks. So, in short its getting loose and i just contacted my seller and he is saying that shanling saying about return it then i should return to them and they will send it to shanling. Now should i send it to my seller ?

Yes, for warranty you need it to send it to the shop you bought it from.

Hi,
I have had the same issue with knob from the beginning. I thought that is FW problem, so I came back to original version. I have also impression that the knob is to sensitive and often chosing option himself. Two or three times the factory settings were starting accidentally. And more, the volume is extremely uncomfortable, I should turn it many timest to change it. Comparing with Astell@Kern AK70 is really annoying. So the only reasonable way is to use Hiblylink. I have no cons for music quality - is really excellent with my Fiio F9 Pro.
I bought it from Jaben online shop, so I think that returning DAP is rather unreasonable. But it's a risk of bying abroad.
So what solution do you propose Shanling?
