The heck with internal and micro sd, this should support 42mm SSD like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-DRAM-Less-Internal-Performance-SB-1342-1TB

Really cheap $/GB and much better performance. 2 TB for $250!

broken link !

here is the link and Amazon screen shot :

I like the looks of this. Probably going to get expensive with the modules...interchangeable at some point?

This is exactly the right kind of crazy I like to see from my favorite DAP maker! Fingers crossed the R&D phase yields a satisfactory product to everyone.

This is nothing new:
@jmills8 has been doing it for years :beyersmile:

Shanling M30

Jmills M2

That brings back memories where the AK240/Hugo/Bakoon HPA-01M triple stack was the undisputed transportable endgame...

...or just a show of how much money you have depending on your perspective.

Hifiman literally failed this concept 10 years ago. Why, Shanling...

TWO THINGS:
The first thing: if the batteries are interchangeable, that means you will never die because you can change the damaged battery with a new battery, it's like having a new Shanling M30.

The second: I think that if it even cost 2k it could be a killer of the dmp-z1 and not to mention the a & k sp2000, lpgt, ibasso dx220, cayin n8, cowon PL, etc.:nerd:

That's supposed to be a 6-inch screen which means this is going to be more transportable rather than portable, right? That makes sense, as the M6 is supposed to be their flagship portable. That said, the M30 is going to probably kick butt with the Aeolus, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued by what Shanling is up to here.
