Google Tidal free trail - 30 days.
Thanks, yes I looked at that, but I don't like their conditions (you still need to sign up for a subscription) and it is not a structural solution for me as a reviewer because I could only do it once.

Will the m2x sell in US

Yes, it will be. International release is planned for May.

Hi, am really interested in the m2x as a wireless source for my mojo. I'm currently using an m0 as a bluetooth receiver, subsequently outputting via USB to a mojo. However, my source is an iPhone, so am limited to AAC. I notice that the m2x has wifi. Will I be able to connect the m2x to a personal hotspot on the iPhone? If so, will the battery life for this be better than when using via bluetooth? What about wireless range, etc? Generally is wifi considered more robust than bluetooth?

M2X supports airplay, which can be used alongside USB output.

By the way @Shanling is the M2X line out a proper line out bypassing the internal amp or not? I don't think that I've been able to found this detailed in any of the promotional material or reviews.

M2X do not have dedicated line out circuit.

@Shanling, will Airplay work when the iPhone and m2x aren't able to join a wifi network? For example, will Airplay work while commuting away from home? I thought that Airplay required both devices to first be connected to a common network.

Also, will the battery life be better than with the m0, when using the m2x as a bluetooth receiver, and then USB out to another DAC?

Thanks!

N.

compatible with others streaming service, such as spotify ? or is it only tidal,
At least for now it is only Tidal, as these services have to be built in via the firmware. From what I understand Shanling has not yet made a decision on any other services yet.

The design and build quality is very similar to the M0, just larger, and I think it is really good. As for IEMs or HPs, it depends on your budget and preferences. I use a lot of very high-end IEMs, but also really enjoy the Final E4000. I don't have the E5000 around anymore, but I expect those would be great too.

I personally really liked the Final E5000, although the cable is a bit stiff and microphonic (the cable on the E4000 is much better). Yesterday I saw that Oriveti just released the OH300, a successor to the New Primacy, which might be interesting. Campfire Audio just released their new IO. Fearless Audio seems pretty popular at the moment, although I have not heard anything from them. Alternatively, if you would like to try CIEMs or just want a custom design for your universal IEMs, then the Custom Art FIBAE 1 might be interesting to check out. (I bought Custom Art as my first CIEMs and I can highly recommend them as a company.)

Those are just a few IEM options off the top of my head. As for headphones I know very little about them and can't really help you there.

Tidal should eventually be added through a firmware update, which is currently being tested. So all you will have to do is update the firmware once it is released and then Tidal will appear in the main menu.

No chance for SPotify, we would be happy to have it, but Spotify doesn't care about small Hi-Fi market and small manufacturers.

We plan to release firmware update with Tidal around end of March, when M2X is releasing on most international markets.
