So, how does the m2x sound compared to the fiio x3ii?
Been looking for a new DAP, especially one with a simple but effective touchscreen UI, And from what i've read around this seems like a great option, But i'd like to know how it sounds compared to the x3ii, both regarding the sound signature (i prefer a balanced signature, or in alternative a slightly warmish and smooth one) and the driving ability (mostly concerned about how well it can drive stuff, not about how loud it can go). As long as it's at least on par with the x3ii, it'd be a no brainer.
It also looks gorgeous, and that surely helps a lot

I'm relatively new to the M2X, but I've noticed that the clock does not keep time very well at all; is there any way to improve this? I have upgraded to the latest software. Thanks.

We need to look more into this problem, doesn't seem to be common problem, but got dew reports of it.

Do you think android will be back ported to this player too? looking forward to Monday!

To bad because I am getting fed up issues with my Fiio M7 still unresolved issues not to mention hating Android big time on this DAP. The M2X would be a nice substitute if I could get my hands on one to try.

I gave up Fiio during the X7 days - tons of firmware issues and broken promises. Fiio Rep (and spec sheet) will say one thing and ended up never implementing it in the FW. It was a huge mess at the X7 thread (at that time). Needless to say, that was the last Fiio device that I purchased.

I got mine on eBay. Got here in one piece and sounds very good.

Does anyone have any experience with using the airplay functionality? I'm using it, but it drops constantly, whether warching a movie or when an ad starts on YouTube. It is constantly dropping the airplay connection requiring me to constantly activate it again from the ios device.

I have been burned to many times buying imported electronics. My rule now is don't buy it unless you can try it. Not to mention to much hassle returning imported goods if there is an issue and having to pay shipping to return it. It doesn't bode well for the M2X if Shanling can't even get Canadian distributors to bring it in. Especially given the success of the M0, would have thought this would peak interest in the M2X but I guess not. Should be hearing about the Sony A100 at IFA today during Sony press conference, might be a better option.

After spending considerable time checking out the info on the Sony A105 and given the estimated price. Not really an option for me, the price will be way to high, still the same pathetic 35 mW per channel as the A55. No USB DAC and no bluetooth receiver mode = No Go for me.

This brings me back around to the M2X and having read pretty much every online review it looks like a really good option. Of course if Shanling were to drop some info on the M3X (guessing the model) something between the M2X and the M5S would be hard to resist. But now with the Shanling M6 slated for release this fall I am guessing we won't be seeing the M3X any time soon unless Shanling would like to chime in with any info?

For the heck of it I looked at ordering the M2X through amazon international. Total cost all in is about $100 CDN more than I paid for my Fiio M7 though the M7 was a demo model. Very tempting but still on the fence, would so love to try it first if possible.

You've fixed the Tidal app fault of it not showing more than 1 page of saved Artists but it now crashes on that list.
Also, when I enter 'Albums' and open one to play a track, the track list is empty and the 'Play All' button does nothing!

So I went to the motetdistribution.com website to try and see which Shanling products they are distributing. Shanling is not listed among the brands they distribute. Any chance you can look into possible M2X distribution in Canada since your distributor has no info on your products?

My battery now won’t charge after a week of usage. Just sits at 0% and refuses to charge. Powers off as soon as I unplug it. Gutted

Really strange, did you tried basic trouble shooting as different cable/charger?

Please contact your seller for repair/replacement.
