Hello, I'm newbie. Can someone explain me what filter is and how it is works ?
Thanks in advance
Digital filters is quite complex problematic, you can spend very long time reading about it if you wish. Here is for example article explaining it in more depth: https://www.audiostream.com/content...ied-todays-audio-dacs-resonessence-labs-techn
Chart posted by @vodanhkhack was made by AKM, manufacturer of DAC chip used in M2X.
From our side, we just recommend to try them all out and see which one you like the most. Our stock setting is Short Delay Slow.

I finally received my Sine DX back from Audeze not long ago, and also acquired an M2x, Anker Type-C to lightning adapter and a v1 Cipher Cable. I've tried everything I can possibly think of to get actual sound out of the DXs, but so far nothing has helped. When I connect the adapter / Cipher thru the Type-C USB port, I get a "Audio Connected" message on the M2x. No setting changes have helped anything, nor has updating firmware or even installing the USB driver downloaded from the Shanling M2x page (I understand it's for PC and did install it on my system, but I thought I'd just see if anything changed after I installed it on the pc, lol). One strange thing was that when I received the M2x, it said it had firmware version 2.3 installed. I was under the impression that 2.2 was the latest available to customers, and in the process of trying to get this working I reverted back to 2.2. Has anyone else tried anything like this with their M2x and gottten positive results? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Anker cable is not compatible with M2X or any non-android DAPs. I tried it and getting the same behavior. Official support for Anker cable is only for Windows 10 (latest version), Mac OS and Android (phones, tabs and may be DAPs too). It doesn't even work with Windows 10 older versions. There are not drivers available for this cable. Regarding the firmware version, when you do OTA updates, the version will be one number higher than the current versions available for download. That's the way versions are stored in Shanling Chinese site and English site. If you go to the Chinese site the version number is one digit higher than one available in English site. It seems the OTA updates are getting downloaded from Chinese site.

Thank you very much for the information

USB output on our players is set-up very simply, just connect and see if it works. Only settings you can change for USB output is volume behavior and DSD.
Anker cable is something we didn't tested yet and as @nishadks says, it's very likely limited to some specific systems, since it's acting as more complex device than just basic reduction.
Latest firmware version 2.3 only had some quick fix for Chinese streaming services, otherwise identical with 2.2 release.

Hello, i'm a newie with the M2x. Can you explain me how it works the DLNA? Thanks
I'm not @Shanling but maybe I can give you a quick summary.
Basically the M2X is a renderer, which means you need to play the file on another device (for example your phone) and then send it via WiFi to the M2X.
It is sort of like choosing the M2X as a wireless speaker via DLNA or Airplay.
Once you have started the playback via the other device, the M2X will be the one doing the decoding (acting as the DAC) so there is no signal loss of anything (the file is sent digitally to the M2X and the M2X converts the digital signal to analog).
I hope this helps explain.
Only you cand send one file per time? You don't want to send an entire album or playlist?I'm not @Shanling but maybe I can give you a quick summary.

It's not one file at a time, it is whatever you set playing on the other device. So a full album or playlist etc.
I use it to stream Spotify to the M2X (you will need an extra app) or to play from Foobar on my PC via the M2X.
Think of it like a Bluetooth speaker, just via WiFi.

For Foobar there is a DLNA add on, Google Foobar DLNA. There are quick guides with the add on.
When it is installed and working on Foobar, make sure the M2X is on the same network and it should show up in the devices listed in Foobar.

It doesn't work since you are following tutorial for completely different function.
To get M2X connected to your computer and to play music from Foobar over Wi-Fi:
Make sure devices are connected to same wifi and that DLNA is turned on in setting of M2X.
Install UPnP MediaRendered Output to your foobar
Choose "UPnP: Shanling M2X" from list of output devices, as you can see on this picture:
Now just start music and you should hear your sweet music.
