Is the projection output optical or coax? If it is coax, you may be in luck. Some additional conversion or specialized cabling may be needed.
Since I am only going to watch concerts mainly from Youtube and the odd Bluray, do I necessarily need to get a quality one? Does it make a difference? There are plenty of converters available for half the price of the fiio.
This is the last I am going to respond to this line of discussion. Frankly, I do not care what kind of converter you buy. I just hope, for your sake, that what you buy works as that is a potential source of causing the spdif option to fail.
I have not tried to do what you are trying to do. I am just logically trying to point you in the right direction to solve your particular issue.
