Yes the mass production is in October-we offer goods to distributors at late October. But before that we will try to provide some public samples in September, for touring and reviews. Hope you guys will participate actively in the initial trial.

I'd love to test out the new M2. Looks like a great little DAP!

GREAT JOB WITH THE UPDATES!!!

• I'm wondering if we can get an English translation of that GIF.

• Please release a theming tool like Fiio and Cayin have, so users can create their own themes.

And Shanling confirmed your contention the sound signature will be identical, so the M2 will be my first experience with the distinct style you’ve described.  If you could, what genres of music did you feel were best suited for this “relaxed” and unique DAP?  Overall, I tend to listen to instrumentals over vocals.

Well, M3 us the sound sig target anyway. There are usually some sound differences between models even though they share the same "house sound". Fiio's recent DAPs are a good example of this.

I thought M3 was fine with the mostly electronic and metal I threw at it. It's just a smooth presentation. I'd suggest you express interest in the early release testing Shanling mentioned earlier in the thread. That way you can find out the best way possible - with your cans, your music, and (most importantly) your ears!

Sound signature is quite an important factor for a brand in our mind, and this is why we are trying to reach a similar tuning based on different hardware.

Personally I think Jazz on M3 is my favourite.

My only issue with M3 is the sound is too 'in my head' and too forward. As you said it goes nicely with Jazz and anything string based but we all like different tuning.

I love it as a source, works without any problem feeding my home rigs.
