Is the player limited to searching only 15.000 songs? Because I just surpassed that limit and it surely seems so.
New music is not being found. The "Update my music inmediately" counts up to 15.000 and stops.

Seems that my only option is folder view.
Is that so?

Hello, I must confirm this, on our players using HiBy software limit is 15 000 files.

I have yet to install 4.4, so I am wondering if when using the M1 as a transport is the volume fixed? On 4.3 the volume is still adjustable on the M1, and when I have it at full volume I get these clicks which are part of the music and in the upper frequencies, but as soon as I turn the volume down to 90 it goes away. Every other DAP that I have used as a transport does not do this and the VAP volume is not adjustable.

So keep it set at 100?

Presumably when set at 100, the shanling output voltage is too high for the input to your system, so you are getting clipping. Reducing the volume to 90, seems to be reducing the voltage enough, to no longer cause problems.
Yes I concur. I will have to try an older firmware to see if that fixes it, as I do not recall if the firmware that it came with did that. I was also wondering if the voltage is increased due to the volume being adjustable.

The clicks shouldn't be there. It's not there with any other device.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood you, I thought you meant with lower volume, there was some details you lost.

I don't think there is any change coming, HiBY software worked this way, surprisingly on some DACs it doesn't affect volume, on others does.

Shanling or may be someone else know the answer...?

in FW update image there is an update.txt file and I've tried to add update boot logo (after kernel section) like this:

splash={
name=logo
file_path=autoupdate/logo.bin
md5=643625e0dac1521f958c0bb9f0378e0a
}

But I found that this update crash my bluetooth-MAC address (it became null, : : : : : ). What should I do to inherit MAC address in update file??

Pity. Could the limit be increased in future updates? Say for example to 20K.
I really love this player and don't see the point to replace it being that I bought it only this year and performs excellently.

This is great, I will try it. I found that sometimes wen pressing to select, the wheel rolls subtly and chooses the option below/above.

I am using Android for last 2 months. Spotify app was showing M1 as a device on iOS but on Android it doesn't look like a paired device. Also I'm hearing distortions sometimes and sound is little laggy compared to iOS. M1 is on v4.4 and my phone is Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Are these general problems?

Is adding LDAC support something that might be possible in future? Or Aptx HD?

Unfortunately no. it would demand more licensing.

Sorry, but we wouldn't be providing any guidance on changing software that is created by third party for our devices.

Considering HiBy have 15k limit even on their new devices(I think I noticed that somewhere), I don't think they would up it up in their older software.

I can say, for our own software developed for M0 and future devices, we have file limit higher and hopefully nobody will ever hit it(until we get 2TB cards or somebody starts using 128 mp3 files).

Different devices can show different quality of BT connection.

Ok, I'll keep it in mind. Frankly, M0 is too small for my taste (I think M1 is the perfect compromise between portable and a nice screen).
Once my M1 is due for replacement, if there's a new player with similar screen size but your own software and features, then it's a no-brainer.

For now I will solve my problem by creating Artist playlists. Folder navigation is good and avoids the file limit entirely, I'm having no problems.
