thanks, it tooks about 50 attempts before it finally worked. You can delete them and the trash icon is what you have to press but it might take a few attempts as it did when I last tried it. Also try going in and out of the bluetooth menu.

Hey guys... been a long time since I have hopped onto this thread. Have been using M0 on and off in between and I'm on some very old firmware maybe 3.0 or something...
My two questions are
1)can I directly update to the latest firmware?
2) Can it work Bidirectional at a same time?
Thanks!

1. If you are around 3.0, yes, you can update directly to the latest V3.4.
2. Bidirectional, you mean for Bluetooth?
- If you want to have it connected streaming music from phone to M0 and then it have streaming to headphones, then no, it can't work this way. And it would make no sense.
- If you want to have it connected via Synclink with your phone and want to use Bluetooth headphones, that's something we hope to have available in future, but it can't work for now.

Greatly appreciate the ongoing support for my device! Will check out V3.5 today.
I have been reading that M0 support dsd iso, so I'm wondering if the iso has both multichannel and dual channel, will that be okay ie the dual channel will be used? Sorry if this has been asked before. FYI, I have updated my fw to 3.5
Edit: well, M0 couldn't read the multichannel sacd iso (albeit with dual channel), the error message was "Format not supported..." Hopefully next fw, the music player can sift through the sacd iso and select the dual channel portion.

So do the different digital filters make an audible difference? Or it only audible for dogs? Though I swear Break Wall sounds the best to be honest.

I own both the Shanling M5s and M0 for years now. Surprisingly though, I prefer the sound of the M0 over the M5s with my full-sized close backs. I swear that the M0 has more kick in the treble. The M5s can be treble lacking sometimes. The M0 has more bite in the notes, more clarity. Color me surpised.

As with everything else in audio, different people will give you different answers I can personally say that I hear difference and I have my favorites.

I turned on high gain on my M5s and bam, there’s treble! Sounds so good now coupled with my Audio Technica.
My m0, which is less than two years old, is draining battery much quicker than it used to. Anyone have any ideas here or does the battery just crap out?

You can try to do full battery run(screen off, BT off, just playing to connected headphones non-stop), that should show how is battery doing.

I started the m0 playing at 60% volume today at 11am with screen off and BT off. It is now

Ran it yesterday with BT off, screen off and got 12 hours out of it. I guess that’s decent but still seemed less than the specs or what it used to get.

So seems battery is still pretty fine. If you are having issues with battery life in day to day use, you can try to adjust your idle settings.

Hi Shanling, it's been a while, but I want to thank you for the outstanding and ongoing support for the little M0.
I have 2 of them and I use them almost full-time during work hours, indoors and outdoors. After 2 years, the battery of the oldest one start to wear, but I think that's normal.
Unfortunately, the screen seems to go ON at times, seemingly for no reason - and then, of course, within an hour the battery is empty. I am sure the screen goes on when the power source is disconnected - it would be great if that could be disabled.
With the latest update my troubles with low volume (which started after adding Replay Gain) have been solved, thanks for that.
I still have 2 major issues:
- With over 20K songs on a 512GB SD card, updating the music has become quite a challenge. Standard behavior is: first crash around song 16.000, second crash very quickly (before song 100) and after that average 2 random crashes before it finally makes it to the end - the whole process usually takes 2 hours to complete. Both M0's do it with different SD cards.
- I typically use the M0 in shuffle mode. Sadly, it still cuts off the first 100ms and the last 500 ms of every track, resulting in many chopped off song endings. I guess there is no easy solution for it. I have written a script in Steinberg Wavelab to automatically add 100ms of silence before and 500ms of silence after every track - but to do that I have to convert to WAV, losing all tags in the process... Although this does solve the problem, I would hardly call it a solution.
My question is: Are these 2 problems (updating crash & tracks cut off in shuffle mode) also present on the Q1? I am thinking about upgrading to Q1 but if it has the same 2 major issues, I will have to pass...
in any case, keep up the good work and thanks for many hours (days, weeks, months) of great sounding music!
