Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

@Shanling

First of all: thanks for this great tiny piece of hardware, its versatility is undoubtly a real pleasure to me. I can use it alone with bt headphones in aptx (I'd love to try aptx hd...) or as a transport for my chord mojo. I've never experienced any problem playing any kind of flac files. This is my standard "audio quality oriented" portable setup:

So the problem comes in with dsd iso files playing (also dsf files).
I'm talking about simple DSD64 isos, at the present time I don't need any fancy DSD superduperhigher resolution.
The Shanling is set to DOP transport type as required by the mojo manual, even though the Mojo white light for DSD doesn't fire up, the color is purple/violet. I can read in the Mojo manual:
"DSD playback is supported using the DoP Standard 1.0 with 0xFA / 0x05 markers".
If I set d2p there are no problems, but the sound quality is not so good (the mojo fires the blue light).
I always experience:

DSD ISO support on M0 is not ideal, you can try to split your iso files into normal dsf files and see if they will work better.

Also, please try to switch DSD setting to Native for use with Mojo.

Only with mojo or also with other external dac/amp (DSD setting to Native) ? Thank you

I would recommend to use native DSD setting with all dacs that would support it.

Thanks for the prompt answer @Shanling !

New Report:
I extracted the dsf from a pool of 10 testing Iso files. The extraction has been done with the "Bogi's utility", ISO2DSF, to prevent glitches at the end of file during extraction. The dsf files plays perfectly without glitches on mac/pc. The M0 plays them with no problems, there aren't glitches during playback and the Mojo fires up the highest frequency range light. I can go forward with no problems inside a track, the M0 doesn't get stuck.

BUT

when a track ends (correct end of track now!) there's always a glitch before the following track starts. Now I can see the problem: the M0 sends something to the Mojo in the middle of track changing: the light turns blue (PCM mode...) for a fraction of second and I hear a loud glitch, and after that the light goes purple/violet (high frequency) and the new track begins to play.
Seems to be a small bug.... Maybe it can be fixed in the next firmware..?

Regarding the "native DSD mode": if I set it on the M0 I can only hear a sort of ultra loud white noise.

Is there any possibility of Aptx HD on the M0?

Thanks a lot!
Have a nice day all u guys :)

I think M0 will use a SW codec and Qualcomm just wants more money for aptx hd license :xf_cool:

Does the m0 care if the replaygain tag is uppercase or lowercase? The spec says the tag should be uppercased, but many taggers (like Foobar) will use lowercase and some oddball ones will even use mixed case. So the only portable solution is to read the tags case-insensitively.
Don't see a reply to this question. It would avoid wasting a lot of time tagging all my files to find out I need to retag with different software.

It shouldn't matter.

Excellent news.

Actually, there was some change since then.We still have plans to have app for iOS with SyncLink feature, but it might be delayed.

is it possible to delete a bluetooth pairing? the list of paired devices have what looks to be a trash icon for each device, which i assumed would delete the pairing, but it doesn't respond to clicking.

You can delete them and the trash icon is what you have to press but it might take a few attempts as it did when I last tried it. Also try going in and out of the bluetooth menu.
