Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Hi
An option to configurate a single or double clickwheel, to go Up one folder level, would be well appreciated, as the "side gesture" or "swipe right" doesn't always succeeds, and starts playing a track that the finger has brushed prematurely ...
I hope my idea gets implemented (Mine is at version 2.1, )
thanks and regards !!

My wh-1000m2 works great with its own controls. play/pause , volume up/down, next/prev. All buttons work as intended and never had any issue with it.

I assumed previous question was regarding controls on cable, controls using 4th pin of 3.5mm jack. That needs special hardware.

Of course controls of BT headphones should work without problems

Kinda surprised nobody has started the push for quadruple click yet. Or infinity click.

From firmware 3.0 you will be able to communicate with M0 in Morse code using wheel clicks. We recommend to start training your fingers for it right now.

Being able to play m3u Playlists, and having remote control via Bluetooth - are the only two items on my wish list...
I'm probably going to have a friend who does leather work, add a D-Ring to the leather case, to hang my M0 on a badge lanyard.

M3u and M3u8 playlist support coming in next firmware, on the same level as Older players had it.
Remote control is also there!

Seems at least your wishlist will be empty soon.

Any chance we could get a more complete list of the changes coming in firmware 3.0 that can be confirmed?

There are 3 major complaints I have with m0:
1. No custom EQ (really need at least 5 band, my planars go awful without eq)
2. Circles with file format take too much space. I would really like to see a little bit more of a song name, than those huge circles
3. Some latin characters do not display, Greek characters work well. Don't know about Cyrillic letters. Really need support for Armenian, Georgian, Hebrew fonts

After few weeks of using m0, the biggest issue for me is the quality of Bluetooth connection.
I have Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and LDAC (in all 3 modes) or AptX is problematic.
I use flac files only, with 900kbps and higher bitrate.
While playing, there are random glitches/pauses of sound (occurs 2-3 times per song, very short stop/glitch), sometimes it behaves like glitch and sound fast forward then.
I have 2.1 firmware - somebody has complained about this issue already here and firmware update has been recommended to him. Occuring also on 2.1.
On AAC and SBC bluetooth mode I had no problems like this.
I look forward to next upgrade, BT on LDAC and AptX is m0 weakness now and I can't use my beloved Sony noise cancelling headphones on a full potential.
I have bought also iBasso IT01 headphones. m0 works flawlessly with wired headphones. Great sound on these IT01 btw.
There is no filter functionality while having BT headphones connected. I don't know if this is normal or another issue...
Works fine on wired connection.

F 5-Band. 10-Band should be the minimum!

I'd love to see anyone fit 10 bands onto that tiny screen and make it actually usable by a human...

lol

You just need a horizontal scroll bar. Would be tedious, but so worth it! :L3000:

And OF COURSE the ability to SAVE your settings & custom EQs into a file (just like my beloved Poweramp lol) so you can transfer it to future Shanling devices would be great too!!

Can I ask when do you experience these problems with signal? Indoor or just outdoor? Where do you wear your M0? Is the screen facing into body or opposite?

Digital filter affects build in DAC, so of course it has no effect on BT headphones.

Hello just one question would bookmarking as used in audiobooks be available later on in a future update or is it just too much for this marvelous little player?
