Did they just copy the Meze Empyrean/Elite headband system?

Meze system is patented, we are using different one.

Looks like a squared off meze liric gen 1. Not my cup of tea design wise but would happily grab one if they make up for it with how they sound. Will one be available for demo at CamJam SoCal?

Sadly no Canjams for us this year.

@Shanling What player is that? It has the styling of the MCD1.3 and SCD1.3, but lacks the cd tray above the screen … Is that the SM1.3 by any chance? Finally!! 😊❤️ ..

Yep, it's SM1.3.

Open back or closed? Not clear (at least to me) from photos.

Open back.

Can someone explain the connection? looks like there's an USB adapter on the amp.
105 db so easily drivable!

They come with 4.4mm Connector, on the photo is just an adapter to 6.35mm. Not USB

as someone who has been a supporter of Shanling having owned the M8 and M6ultra (both are in my top 3 players I've owned). This comment from Shanling bugs me, look at an image of the Meze and this headphone suspension system and tell me they don't look strikingly similar.

Maybe I'm wrong and Shanling can call out how their's are materially different.

Dang, it is definitely a bad look to rip off the Meze headband design like that. Definitely not cool Shanling.

While the headband construct as a whole is slightly different, to say that several design elements haven't been directly lifted from Meze is a patently false claim.

Well everyone in this thread recognize the many 'inspirations' took by shanling.
But they need to enter the market with new products fast and can not afford to produce something original.
What????!!!?? If shanling can afford to make innovative DAPS with original design and given the years they've been in business your statement holds no water
