My flying saucer is waiting for me in Florida, where it landed on April 6th. I've been completely buried in work on a writing project and won't be able to find the time to get up there to check it out before the June 4th head-fi meet that Tyrion is hosting.

Oh well, something to look forward to after meeting my deadlines.

Wayne, it's still in Florida. It's too close to the meet for you to get it so I guess we are all in for a treat on 6/4.

Those poles are a nice idea to get the base off the ground, but I wonder if it is anywhere near as effective as spikes would be?

I think it is a spike. Sure looks like a disk and a spike at the bottom. Are they separate? I dont know...
