how do i setup a G&W Stereo Headphone Amplifier AT-F100 +denon avr 1000?

Well, your two choices to look to be
1) Get an adapter to hook it to the headphone jack on the front of your X1000
2) Try connecting to the Zone 2 Pre Outs on the back. This would be more optimum, IMO, if you can get it to work right. You'll have to research in your X1000 manual to see how to enable sound over Zone 2.

What headphones do you have and have you tried them plugged straight into the Denon's headphone jack?
