serious advice from guitarists
1.One option will be
Line 6 POD round $300 thats what it will cost me here.
Plus a decent PA I really have no idea what a 100W PA for example would cost.
DIY 4x12 cabinet equipped with good speakers. All good materials too. But cost doenst matter because the cabinet will exist on both cases.
The plan of the first scenario is to use the POD for practise with headphones and for future gigs recordings etc i was thinking of using pods amp modelling and effects but no cab modelling. Just pass the amp modell to the PA to the 4x12 cabinet.
2. Scenario 2 is getting for round $250 a 70s all tube 100W Laney Head (chriss oliva, Toni Iomi from B.Sabbath etc..) and use it with my cabinet.
But that will make me buy the effects I definately will need.
Overdrive (since the amp is only one channel I want a dist. that can get aggressive) round $80
Reverb round $80
Chorus round $80
Delay/compr round $100 for both.
So this all tube all analog combo will cost me around $600(minus cab) and I will have the kick ass half stack and all analog effects.
The 1st scenario will cost round $300 +$100? for good enough for guitar PA?
round $400? but it will give me a great variety of FX and amp models.
