I've checked numerous Websites and read reviews, here, but I can't seem to find the sensitivity specs on the PX200's. Does anyobody have them on hand? I'd be *very* interested in these if they are louder than my KSC-35's (and the Porta Pros). Thanks.

PX 200 and Portapro have about the same sensitivity - the PX 200 is louder with the mids, the Portapro is louder with the bass.

For MiniDisc use, I found the KSC-35's a bit soft on output. Do the PX200's block external noises well? If so, 100 to 102 dB will be fine, if the isolation is better than the KSC-35's.

Thanks for the link, Lisa. Sennheiser.com is down, for the moment.

no they aint:

Techn. Data
Nominal impedance - 32 Ohm
Jack plug - 3,5 mm stereo
Transducer principle (Headphones) - dynamic, closed
Ear coupling - supraaural
Cable length - 1,4 m
Weight w/o cable - 60 g
Frequency response (headphones) - 10.....21000 Hz
Sound pressure level (SPL) - 115 dB(SPL)
THD, total harmonic distortion - 0,1 %

i'm guessing you're buying the px200 because you're bald and the px200 have pads on the headband for comfort, they will stand out

I read that about 115 dB as the maximum output, but what about @ 1 mW input? (the usual standard way of rating sensitivity) 32 ohms means they are quite efficient, for sure.

Yes, my smooth cranium would be ideal for these headphones.

It must be an indication of sensitivity:

MX 500: 125 dB / PX 200: 115 dB / PX 100: 114 dB / HD 500: 105 dB / HD 580/590/600: 97 dB...

I have both the PP's and the PX-200's and the PX-200's will go a little louder before distorting which makes them slightly more efficient. The PX-200's isolate much more as well.

I've been switching back and forth between the PX200s and KSC-35s at work. The PX200s isolate much better than the KSC-35s, and are also more sensitive (i.e., louder at same volume setting on my portable).
