hey guys i currently have a logitech g35 headset that i bought for gaming, its a usb headset but has dolby certified 7.1 sound - it has great sound imo, but i was looking at the sennhesier 558, do you think the sennheiser would be even better or worse? because i notice it doesnt have dolby 7.1 surround sound or anything.  how would the sound quality differ? if it was better would it be more loud or more crisp or what?

I don't have alot of experience but the "gaming" headphones are usually crap compared to a headphone in the same price range, and the 7.1 surround on the g35 is rubbish its only a adapter that supposedly has the capabilities. I'm not sure if the hd 558s are open or not but my seinheiser hd 518 (open) have fantastic sound positioning and are probably comparable to a 5.1 speaker set up, best of luck
