Sennheiser x Massdrop HD6XX Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

So with the HD6xx at $199.99 ($250), what's the point of selling the HD650 at more than that then? R.I.P. people trying to sell their HD650.

Not many people know of Massdrop . Though it is expanding fast due to many youtube celebs taking note of the massdrop deals. But people are also lazy to register an account.

Also, i'm not saying its true, but is it confirmed everything else of same quality? Pads, frame etc. Though I only care about sound really.

I am loving that deep midnight blue color... even though I already have an HD650, I wouldn't mind getting one of these to have as a backup.

Hmm, is this an indication that Sennheiser is releasing a new or updated HD 600 series addition in the near future and are moving out old stock, much like the HD 598 SE?

Regardless, that's one heck of a bargain!

I always thought "sex" was a great name for a headphone.

Prediction: They will have an updated 6** series like the 5** and 4** before. Sadly Likely: Same sound, just different numbers & aesthetics. If they want to impress me, create an HD675. Partially open if needed to increase bass, with similar smooth highs and flat mids, a bit more lower mid warmth, more mid bass, and a lot more sub bass and low frequency extension. AKG has done it with the AKG K7XX / K712 showing open cans can have impressive sub extension. Also - high quality leather, or pleather ear pads, which could increase the bass, same for inside headband pad. Those are a lot easier to clean. Finally, an already "audiophile upgrade" (OCC, high quality number) cable. Those could be game changers.
