HI: I just ordered the senn. PX200 from sennheiser. These are so new that they ant on the web site yet. You have to call them to get them. These are for portable use and fold up. Bummer sennheiser just called me on phone and said that the PX are not for sale yet in the USA. They said the ma-by in mid DEC. they will ship me a pair with no shipping charge because of mess up.

HI: There is a post of a member who has the PX200 overseas. They have been selling the PX200 for 3 weeks there. I think his name is MTILLMAN. You can go to his post and ask him your questions.

LTUCCI -

How many phones have you ordered now since you said you were going to listen to the AT100Ti's only from now on for both home and portable use (11 days ago)? Just joking with you, but even I thought you would hold out at least a couple of weeks!

Lou,

Maybe you can be the poster boy for new members when they are told "Welcome to Head-Fi sorry about your wallet". I think you did well to hold off buying for 11 days.

I will be interested in your thoughts on the new Senn's. If you don't like them let me know what you want for them.

I think this is the second set of phones Lou has purchased since his bold statement 11 days ago. But that's OK, this is supposed to be fun and if that's what he wants to do, that's cool. The only concern I have is that some newbies unfamiliar with Lou's purchase history might be overly influenced in their purchasing decisions by his extremely enthusiastic endorsement of a product only to find him changing his mind and selling it in a week.

But hey, better to be fickle with phones than with people!

HI: How are you? I am thinking about next summer and am going to put together a very small portable rig. My ATH-A100ti and META42 are a little big for out side take with you rig. I am thinking about the senn. PX200 and ma-by a mini amp or small amp for my mini disc and portable radio for on the go. But will mainly listen to my META42 and ATH-A1000 when they get here. The summer me and my dog go out to parks and I will need a real good portable rig for that but as soon as I get home its back to the ATH-A1000 and Max Out META42. Also the ATH-A1000 might be a little hot on those hot summer days but not at home in my air conditioner.LOL
I am a definite audio geek as you must know by now. And in the future any new got to have I will have to have it.

Ltucci1924-

Happy to see you're not upset about my joking with you a little. I felt a little bad after I wrote it. Hope you like the Senn's, I'm going to check out the 100's as soon as they're available.

HI: I talked to sennheiser about the PX100 and the PX200 and They said that the PX 200 has more bass and a better sound because of them being closed.

LTUCCI1924 -

It's a hard call for me on the 100's or 200's. In general, I have a pretty strong preference for open phones. The 200's are described on Sennheiser's web page as having a slight boost in the bass, which I really don't like the sound of. And the 200's with that little pleather ring on the earcups don't look too comfortable to me. I was thinking I might even order both from Headroon to compare and send back the one I like less. (I must be learning from you!)
