I'm debating whether go get a on-ear or over-ear momentum... I'm sure this is a question that has been asked many times before, so I apologize. 
 
I want a portable closed on-ear, so I'm leaning towards it, especially since I disliked the P5.
 
Are the drivers in the on-ear and over-ear the same? If not what's the difference? Sound signature wise?

I'd go with the over ears just based on comfort. However the chances that you have ears small enough to fit in them is incredibly slim.
