Bought used IE800 in nice condition for a fair price. I am looking for the affordable DAC/Amp for it. Something in the range of Dragonfly Red or iFi Hip Dac. Budget is something like 100-200 Euros. Currently running it through my iPhone with a dongle, but it seems to me that IE800 would like more powerful amp.

Not really more powerful amp they are really easy to drive but a better DAC would make them shine probably for sure.

Thanks for anwering. They seem pretty quiet in comprison to XB90EX and Massdrop EDC3 on the same iPhone with dongle (EU volume capped version).

Is the Fiio M5 good enough for the Sennheiser IE 800?, or should i get a better one :O

I don't know the Fiio M5, but I occasionally use my ie800 with a simple Sony NW-A35 and it drives it well. It's current version , the NW-A55 is well under 200€ e.g. on amazon.de

It's not a matter of driving them well, they are really easy to power. It's more about giving them a GOOD DAC to do them justice than being able to power 16 ohm IEM's

I did and it brings me to the Sennheiser site. Doesn't say anything about it being authentic. I've also read that you can spoof the QR Code

They look authentic to me. One key is the cable, both its texture and colors. Yours look correct.
