Hey guys! Im looking to buy a legit ie800 and i wondered what they sell for now used? Seen everything from 150 usd and up here on headfi!

lots of fakes, hard to tell the difference, so buy from a respected buyer on head fi is the only way to go. dont buy used on amazon or ebay.

So there is no way to tell the authenticity by the looks of it? Im so tempted to buy one as they should sound pretty airy and open! Never tried one though.live far away from the cities and Norway isnt the easiest places to try headgear either. What about the QR codes?

Hey guys, can somebody recommend a good extension cable for the ie800, will it effect the sound quality?

Anyone know it its hard to fix the IE800 if the cable near/in the housings is getting weak? I csn see thaT AliE sells repair cable. Im going to buy a ie800, but i just want to know if it is easy to fix for myseld if thats suddenly will happen=)

ive had 3 ie800s and use it over the ears, putting even more strain on the cable near the housing, and have never had a cable issue

i read that i need special comply tips. does they have a special name? i will recieve my ie800 in a couple of days. but i want to order tips now to see what will fit me. what is the common one sto use? thanks

I am currently using the silicone tips that come from sony mh755 as substitute. They fit very snugly.

The ones I use are Isolation Plus, with Waxguard to keep out debris, size small. If you're not sure about fitment, they do make sets with all sizes to try.
