Sennheiser IE800 IEM's

It a slightly v shaped iem, slightly warm which is high on clarity, very detailed although not as full sounding as other iems in this price, very airy and energetic, due to extended treble with very good imaging, bass that is textured and sufficiently fast for a dynamic but not very deep, that sums up ie800.

I didn't experience more high end products. Imaging and details are most impressive to me.

Do not purchase from eBay.

No warranty and rampant fakes. Im sure you can tell if its a fake but they look really good.

I bought mine from an authorized sennheiser seller and I still questioned their authenticity.

For someone who has sells mostly boots and clothing it's very very questionable.......

You're best bet is Amazonwarehouse deals, at least they are returnable and you most likely get a full warranty....they say used but just register them on line with Sennheiser.

Don't buy these from anybody unless you are willing to spend some time researching how to detect fakes and confirming yours are real.

The fakes are EXTREMELY hard to detect, but you must be prepared to go through that IMO if you want to buy them.

How is the isolation? Was thinking of going with this or Shure.

I would think Shure would be much better for that.

I read reviews and bought Shure 215 to use with a motorcycle.

The 215 isolated well, but sounded terrible IMO.  Sent back in less than 24 hours

The IE800 isolate a bit but not greatly.  They don't "lock in" as well either IMO.  Shure would do that better for most folks I would think.

I Love the way the IE800's sound but the fit is never right for me, impossible to feel solid with them for me.  But they are keepers cause they sound so good.
