Looking for a new pair of high end IEM's and these are the 3 I have narrowed it down to. I would love to know your guys opinions/experiences.

Admittedly, I've never tried the Sennheiser or the AKG, but I do own the Shure SE846 and I love them. The bass is simply unbelievable, and vocals are so rich and natural. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Haven't tried the AKG, but definitely the SE846 > IE800

I have tried the SE846, and found it technically excellent. But a little stale for my liking. The IE800 I found to be more fun, and more enjoyable. Looking to try out the K3003 soon. ( Back to Shure's, I preferred the SE535 over the SE846.)

From my impressions of owning both (DX90 + Cayin C5 for source)

SE846: Mid's are more forward, but veiled compared to IE800's.  More bass, faster response, better imaging.  Better isolation & cables.
IE800: Mid's are amazingly clear.  Huge soundstage, sounds very airy.  More fun than the 846's.

if you are a basshead , get the 846 - otherwise both ie800 and K3003 are the most balanced/detailed ones

i have the K3003 and reading the k3003 thread , people who owned all 3 of these usually put K3 first , followed closely by ie800 and last the 846

if money matters , the ie800 looks like the better vaue for money (as the k3003 is 200-300$ more expensive)
if budget is not a matter , go for the k3003 (IF you are not a basshead that is)

still , you need to tell us what kind of sound you are after

cheers

Even though i am not the TE, i want ask you a question about IEM:

Interesting and informative statements. I currently own a Phone PFE 112 since 2010 and I consider myself to go for an upgrade.
I listen more J-Rock, J-Pop, Dance, House, Hip-Hop, alternative Rock. All this type of music sounds boomy (but not so exaggerated.

Do you think that I should go for Shure SE846 for that kind of music?

Thanks in advance.

I think the IE800's airiness/bigger soundstage makes it more fun for all types of genre.  The bass on the IE800's is really damn good too, just that the SE846's hit deeper.

IMO the genres you mentioned needs the ability to produce fast PRaT.
The SE846 has faster PRaT than IE800 but like most of their line up are more mid/vocal focused.
I'd look at other IEMs for your genre preference, but recommend you to try both IE800 and SE846 in case you like the sound signature for your genre.

what kind of sound signature are you looking for? I think they are all capable in their own way depending on what you like.

K3003 is my personal favorite but the sound signature is brighter with leaner but tight bass and great texture. sound stage is wide and imaging is spot on.
Shure 846 going off memory is darker, bigger bass and rolled off treble. easy listening with great mids
IE800 going off memory is more of a V shaped with great dynamics - bassy and lots of treble.

I am just upset they are $400 only in US. The price stays $1000 in Europe. We are looking for someone we know who can grab them when I buy’em on AKG website. Don’t think any headphones would replace them.

Yes but there are also a lot of fakes that sell in the 400 range so you need to be careful and buy from authorized dealers
