They haven't been officially announced yet, so it's anyone's guess as to their release date and cost.

A closed HD 800, interesting. Honestly could be truly world class if done right. So far I have found Sennheiser has been a bit meh in closed-back designs, always felt Senn shined in open designs. Closed-backs has been more of Beyers or Fostex's forte, let's hope Senn gets it right.

Agreed. The Momentums and HD 630VB sound like crap (IMHO, of course). But this will be Sennheiser's first attempt at a TOTL closed-back, so they have a lot more riding on getting this one right.

I could see them being around the same price as the 800S. AKG had the K812 and the K872 at $1499. They're just closing an already-designed model, so it's not like they have to spend wads on R&D.
