It didn't say nos so I suppose new.
New Mullard will not be better than stock tubes.

You had better try NOS tubes from Ebay dealer who offer returns and good feedbacks.

I had ordered tubes from Ebay 12 times and no failure so far.

You had better cancel the order of new production tubes before they ship it.

Wow that bad huh? So they have to be nos? How about the goldlion I ordered? They don't say nos either.

There are some top quality new production tubes from Psavan Acme series, but they are expensive as Nos tubes.

You had better study before ordering Nos tubes.

If you can, just cancel the order of new production tubes.

Otherwise, then you can keep them as backup.

Of course, you can do comparison with stock tubes without much expectation.

But good Nos tubes will make huge difference of sound.

I can't cancel. I'm fine with it as the reviews for the mullard are fantastic. It was only 35cad.

I have several NOs mullard tubes. They have refined sound with nice texture.

With new production, you can not expect much improvement.

They may appear to give more clarity but no refined texture.

But good Nos tubes will cost 100 CDN or more for pair.

Like I said the users on the site are raving about this tube so I'll give it a whirl.
It does not appear to be terribly bad.

But those who left feedback appears to be newbie in tube.

Nos tubes sounds like old good wine.

Unless you experience yourself, you will never know it.

Take your time and enjoy your new amp.

After 6 months, if you want to get refined sound with more bass texture, then you can look for Nos tubes after enough study.

Each Nos tubes have different kind of flavor.

Thus you have to choose one which fit your need and personal preference.

Take your time.

Even stock tubes need at least 100 hours to settle down.

You can contact Icon Audio whether it is fine to have it on 24/7 for the first one week.

After tube got burnt in, it is not a good idea to have tube amp 24/7 on since it will reduce tube life time.

In the meantime, I recommend you to keep the new tube you ordered.

Well I'll have three to choose from at the get go. I'll probably start with the gold lion. So this won't affect the two larger tubes in any negative way by taking out the tube sent with the unit? I just want to confirm.

If you want you can try, but it is always safe to try stock tubes first.

If you do not have much experience in tube, I recommend you to contact Icon Audio to get their opinion on stock tubes and tube rolling.
