If I already have the 58X and HD6XX is it even worth it to check out the 660S?

For me that i have 58x 6xx 600 650 and 660s , yeah it worth it.
But i am from those that look for small details. If u expect night a day difference nope there is not.
58X are to my ears the weakest of them all.

Yes that is what I have heard. But how much "better" is the 660S over the 58X?

From 58x a lot if u really listen and give attention. I dont get why people say 58x are close or the same like 660s maybe the sound signature thats close make them think that.
From 600 650 i wouldnt say much better but in some parts better and others not.

For my side, Hd58X is similar to HD660s, is a more proper comment. The release date of them is HD 580X after HD660s, and 660s after 700

From my side 58x are not similar to HD660s .
660s share the same blue driver like HD700 but the sound signature is way different but from technical point of view speed imaging sepperattion tightenes power to drive them there are similarities.
58X driver and pcb compare to 660s.is way different its easy to see it , the sound signature is close and thats it everything else is different and way better on 660s , also even if they write 150ohms i am sure 660s are harder to drive compare to 58x.

To me 58x are not in the same League that all 6xx 650 600 660s are . They are great like 560s but thats it.
6XX are not close to 600 i can surely hear the mid bass and the smothness character vs the 600 , 6XX vs 650 i can hear the same character but some times 6XX are more trebble happy on some songs not by a lot but it sounds like 650 is smooth on everything and 6xx is like something happens on some instruments that sound more can i say bright ? I dont know if its the pads because i have a lot of hours on the old ireland ones and honestly i am not changing them to benchmark but they are surely softer pads and i guess they affect sound .
So no 6xx are closer to 650 for me and clearly.i can hear the mid.bass warm character and.smoothness to them.
So no its not the case ... 650 6xx 600 660s are all on the same level to me with the 660s beeing better on something like speed imaging sepperattion resolution , 560s and 58x are very good but clearly a level down.

Both my 6XX and 660s are made in Romania. I also like 660s better in almost every way. The sub-bass is better on 6XX, mid bass is around the same and mid instruments have about the same fullness. But everything else is better on 660s. Very close in tuning with a mid treble dip for the MG and of course greater bass extension and a peak at higher treble.
Of course frequency response can't tell the whole story.

So they say Romania but they are the old stock ones pre facelift?
The new Sennheiser HD600 650 660s look different for sure.
An easy way to spot are these 3 dots at left side .... New ones from 2019 have them inside.
I guess Sennheiser gives stock old ones to Drop thar make sense.

U are absolutely correct what i find out is that a frequency response is the half of the story. I have heard headphones with W shape that i like and flat that i didn't , even that i prefer flat warm response.

God, I hope these aren't some kind of hoax/vaporware.

If these are real, then this is amazing news! It's just really strange that Sennheiser hasn't announced anything about them yet.

Guess we'll all just have to wait and see how this plays out.
