today we already have an amplifier that takes the HD6x0 line for its performance and quality of 95% for the value of 200 to 300 €? I'm looking for one in this price range to use with a HD58x and a HD660s. I want to get a smooth and slow sound with a good level of detail, but don't take away the musical and relaxing sound. I was looking at the A20, which is now in the range of € 330, or even the Cavalli Tube Hybrid Amp, would be to use specifically with the sennheiser HD6x0. I just have the headset, I'm looking for an amplifier and a dac.

Although ZEN Siggy's EQ curve was tailored for HD6XX, it works rather well with 660S. At least that's the feedback we got thus far

Sounds like a great idea. I think one of the harder things to get used to in the world of the "audiophile" is the terminology and how that translates to what you're hearing. Imaging, soundstage, timbre, detail, warmth, sibilance, etc. I'd love to see a video that covers the qualities, but gives examples of various headphones that exhibit each of the qualities described. Some people already have a headphone collection, but don't delve deeply in to the terminology.

i guess imaging is very important at games.

In competitive gaming I'd say it's quite critical. The goal is to hear everything around you accurately, so cans that sound open and have upper FR range clear are liked by gamers.

Different features are important to different people, but I'm keen to think that stuff I just listed gets oftentimes prioritized in gaming.

For anyone's interest... I just test Shure 440 fake leather 1440 velur 1540 velur with holes pads and they fit nice inside , The cost from Thomman was 15 euro and 17 for 440 ,1440 and 45 for 1540 .
So they are good quality and cost way less than most terrible pads known names that i tried.
How they fit ?
Original Hybrid Sennheiser pads have a ring that clips inside , taking off the original hybrid pads the one side is the velur and the other side with the fake leather has a plastic ring so taking that ring off and keep it or 3D print it we can use any pads that have same measurements plus 1cm extra or smaller its ok they fit.
First impressions are that all of them change the sound but i dint have much time to listen them because new 2020 Sundara arrived and i test them side by side with my HD660 .
Hope that helps anyone interest about that because i was searching before i buy them and couldnt find any report.

I regrettably sold off my 660s and eventually replaced them with 6xx which sound really good with Euforia.

How exaggerated is this whole “doesn’t scale” stuff?
I hear it all the time yet it seems few actually have heard both on a high end system.

I think the "doesn't scale" meme originates from people who have been using high OI (100+) tube amps with their 600/650's finding out the 660S doesn't pair quite as well with those amps due to insufficient damping. The reality in my experience is just that the HD660S does scale very well with amplification just like the 600/650, but due to its lower impedance it scales differently with different amps.

The first time I plugged my 660S into the Euforia, the sound instantly reminded me of the ZMF Auteur. Can't say the pairing sounds on that exact level, but to say halfway in between the 660S and Auteur is actually a reasonable way to put it imo. It lifts up the subbass extension, calms down the upper midrange and completely opens up the treble. So it sounds more neutral to me, with an actual soundstage, buttery smooth timbre and what surprised me the most was how much more punch and low-end weight the Euforia gives it. I would guess you're experiencing something more or less similar with the 6XX on the Euforia.

I purchased the Euforia specifically for my Empyrean, which is absolutely a breathtaking pairing, but the margin of improvement with the 660S on the Euforia is actually quite a bit greater in my experience. Since I got the Empyrean, I only really used the 660S for casual listening and work-related stuff anymore, but the Euforia genuinely made me thoroughly enjoy actively listening to music again with the 660S from time to time.
