Devices we developed for Drop are upgraded ZEN series products, so they're better. If you can get one on Drop, please do, but at the moment you would need to wait to another sales window.

I was intrigued by this statement...I had always perceived Drop as where manufacturers put end-of-life products to maximum profitability...so I'm happy to hear this is not the case. It sounds like I should keep my Drop Zen CAN order in, as I'm a Sennheisser guy, vs. buying the iFi version.

WoW i was looking for that long time. I wanted to use the stock 4.4 HD660s cable every time on balanced or 3.5 mobile phone without using different cables all the time.

Same here, but the FiiO appears to be discontinued - on their AliExpress store, and it's not showing up in some of the US stores like B&H Photo, which pretty much carries everything...nor Amazon.

And I looked at their page more closely, the 3.5mm side isn't balanced....

It isn't balanced.
It is a converter from 4.4 balanced to 3.5 single ended.

Yeah I'm guessing 3.5 can't do balanced? I ended up finding the FiiO one on eBay, from overseas. Will take a few weeks.

Looking to have a quick way to plug my balanced 4.4mm into a 3.5 jack for occasional use...so I don't have to swap out the whole cable assembly (I have a 3.5mm balanced cable adapter that came w/ my Senns)...more a convenience factor, really. The 3.5mm source may or may not be balanced...
