Does anyone know of an online source that sells good quality Sennheiser HD650 replacement cables of up to 20' in length (not coiled) but that is under $100. Esoteric cables do not do it for me, so I cannot justify paying their going rates (eg. Cardas, Equinox, Stefan, etc. - unless they can be sourced under $100 for 20 feet).

Have you considered an extension cable on top of your existing cable instead?

Yes, but I am of the "fewer connections is best" school of thought - ie. each interface point represents a point where the signal can be affected (whether audible to some or not). The weakest link in signal transmission is invariably at the connector. So no, I do not find extensions to be acceptable for critical listening.

Can you solder? Make your own - that's what I'm probably going to do.

In that case, the closest possible option is, as GAD said, to DIY your own cable. I'm not aware of anyone offering a Senn cable for less than $100 and at such lengths. With careful choosing, you can easily whip up a set for way less than that budget.

I thought of the DIY route but was hoping there was a "bluejeans cable"-like company out there that built high value replacement cables that I just was not aware of. It may be that the boutique brands have no competition in this niche market. I am hoping that I am wrong.
