lol, I shouldn't be allowed in this thread until I have $1k ready to spend on cans and amps. What do you guys use as a source? I'm guessing it isn't an iPod lol

 Well, actually my portable rig is ipod/e17. It's not bad.

^^ Looks nice!! I pulled the trigger on that but after several delays decided to pull out and buy a nice Woo Audio stand for the same money. We have a similar setup...lyr/bf/audioengine speakers/hd650.

Thanks for the recommendation by the way, finally got to give my Neco a try yesterday. Obviously I need to do more listening, but I'm quite liking the little amp so far. Being bit of a bass head I expected I'd want to use bass boost constantly, but so far I've actually preferred to leave it off. Funnily enough the switch works 'backwards' from what it says on Neco's site, but this is of little consequence.
(MattTCG also deserves thanks for his Neco-related and other posts I've found quite helpful/enjoyable).
