I think pretty much everyone prefers the HD 650 over the HD 800. . .

But I don't think so!

+1 I was able to a/b test the 650's and 800's at a high end audio shop recently, and while the HD800 had a better soundstage, the 650 sounded better to me in every way. The HD800 has insane highs, it makes for some super detailed sound, and they do sound really good still, but i'm sure It would for sure give me a headache after a while. The 650s have better bass, more punch, and really everything sounds amazing on them. Just my input :)

I had the same impression. While HD800 sounded very detailed (to the point of being harsh) and open, they didn't feel as intimate and joyful as either HD650 or LCD-2.

can anyone help me?
when i listen to certain flac songs like rock music i tend to hear crackling sounds when the vocalist screams or if instruments use high pitch frequency
this when i plugin to my computer directly, and also with amp and dac
could maybe owners of 650 listen to the same audio file as me and tell me if they can hear the crackling issue too?
