It depends on my mood, really. The CTH is probably the 'better' amp with more open and clearer midrange and treble, but the Valhalla has such a wonderfully relaxing musicality. So it really depends on what I'm in the mood for: Do I want to really listen and have a fun time? The CTH. Do I want to sit back, relax and drift away? The Valhalla.
It will go all the way to 7 p.m. I think it was about it 4 p.m. in the picture, and I don't have the line-out volume all the way up. I only turn it up to about a hundred and five out of 120. This amp can easily make the 650s too loud. My Crack has a Dale stepped attenuator installed, so the volume may work a little differently.
Agreed. Fortunately my wife is quite supportive of my transition to headphones and associated equipment because it gives her a break from my 2 channel speaker setups that are obviously more intrusive.
I received an HD6xx. Great headphone. Only complaint is the energy being relaxed and the midrange being a little sweet. Other than that, decently neutral. Details are above expectations. Very musical. Top choice at this price.
