100+ Head-Fier
I have been in this game for as long as I can remember. The game I speak of is this ongoing quest we all seem to be on concerning the love of music and the way we hear it. It really would only be worth documenting when I got my first turntable. I was about sixteen, and I loved the sound of vinyl, and the aesthetics of having such a huge round disc, with large artwork and other visual pleasures to stare at while you enjoyed the music. Anyway to make a long story short, I'm 28 now, and a friend of mine got me into this whole portable headphone fidelity thing. My first rig was assembled about a year ago. An Ipod with an Audio Line Out 'Jumbo Cryo' a Ray Samuels Audio, Emmeline 'The Tomahawk' & a pair of Westone 'UM2'S'. That was then, this is now. I am currently using a Ray Samuels Emmeline 'SR-71' an Audio Line Out 'Jumbo Cotton V2' & as I write I have been breaking in my new set of headphones, the Sennheiser HD600. I got them using some ebay gift cards as a Christmas present, and they were waiting for me when I got home from work today. I am truly enjoying the sound produced by these babies. I bought the 'SR-71' with the intention of upgrading to larger full size cans. I just would like to thank all you headfiers for all the great reading, and information you have given so freely. I'm really enjoying this hobby! I would also like to thank Ray Samuels, who is one of the coolest people I have ever met, right up there with my Dad. And also Ken Ball, a kind and creative soul who truly brings a lot to the table when it comes to the world of high end audio enjoyment. I am going to be doing some reviews of the equipment I have experimented with, in hopes to give back to the community here at headfi. Thanks for reading and happy listening!
