I have a few questions being a newbie to the headphone world.

A. I was wondering if the Sennheiser HD495's would be good for plugging into my laptop and playing games with.

B. I have a $150 sony amp/reciever that I'm willing to plug my headphones into. How much of a quality difference is there (if any) between this non-portable amp and an airhead portable? If the airhead isn't that much better than i'll just stick with what i have.

C. This is a non-headphone question, but can one connect his computer to his analog stereo to play digital mp3's? If yes, how?

If anyone can help me with these I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

No. I have a friend who tried my 495s in his laptop and he said they sounded like ****. For laptop gaming, I think the Koss KSC35s would be great.

A. No. They need an amp. (see above)

B. Debatable.

C. Computer soundcard out (minijack) ---> L/R RCA Stereo splitter cable ---> RCA inputs of stereo receiver.
