I'm a Sennheiser fan and enjoying my HD 579 on my Dragonfly Red but would like to upgrade. I'm having difficulties choosing between the HD 660 S and HD 700 which are both available at around the same price. Any recommendations?

Edit, I guess the HD58X does not use the exact driver as the HD660S.
The HD58X driver is slightly smaller then the HD660S's.

Supposedly if you remove a piece of foam from the HD 58X, then it is the same as the HD 660 S.

Though I wouldn't recommend any of them but at least not much money is lost on the HD 58X.

Listening to the 660s right now, I'd absolutely recommend it. I've heard the hd700... wasnt for me. But they have a point above the HD58X from what people are saying is to close to the 660s with the foam removed would be a better buy overall even if its only Close to 660s sounding.

That's the saying right now. There's a video on it too, can't find it though (if it was a Zeos review then I'd be skeptical).

What type of sound signature are you looking for? I think that would be the first approach in this decision.
