I’m going with the 650’s also as country is mid centric and would be my choice for that but not to say that a planar will not deliver just depends on what you want.

I agree with the 650 for mainstream country, though I feel a good amp (lots of people like tubes with this HP, though some SS also do quite well) is pretty much a requirement to get the most out of it. If you are more to the bluegrass/acoustic side of country, the Sundara would probably be a blast.
