Has anyone tried the HD600 with both the schiit magni2 uber and the little dot iii?

I listen to them on a magni 2 uber, on low gain at about 11 o'clock volume. They sound good, but I feel the imaging and soundstage is lacking with this combo, sounds a bit "in your face" to me. From my understanding, certain tube amps can give them a better sound.

l don't think you can delete posts. The next best thing is to edit the post. Clear the field and just put in a full stop.

The certain tube amps you are taking about are usually BH Crack/SEX, Little Dot, Project Ember, and few others.  Take a look at the HD-650 thread, lots of discussions of amps there and they work just as well for the HD-600.

Just remembered that you might want to look at Garage 1217 site, they make the Ember and a few other amps that many seem to like.  good luck with you search.

I have a pair of HD600 coming in and I was wondering if they pair better with an OTL tube amp? I was looking at the Woo Audio WA3 since I am not crafty with a soldering iron and I want something comparable to the BH Crack. Also, anyone have experience with pure silver cables?

I'm receiving my HD 600's today 

I'll start out with the standard tube (EH 6922) in my Aune T1 and already bought a Golden Lion tube: affordable so I figured I'll give that one a try once my brain is 'used' to the HD 600's with the standard tubes.

Yes. desktop amps are better than portables usually. I have E12 and Schiit vali.  Vali is better. So look at only desktop amps unless you wanna carry your HD600 with you (which is a bad idea).

Just finished my food and finally got around to unpacking my HD 600's: lightweight, very comfortable fit. I plugged them in (EH 6922, standard tubes that come with the T1) and started listening to Pink Floyd - On the run..wow.. There is a bit of heartbeat in that song, I could hear it with a lot of detail, but not too punchy in my ears (I do not like too much punch). When listening to "Money", the sound of the coins is making my ears tickle! I'm loving it!
