  If you could have any of the three of them which ones would you have?

 
I'd probably get the 7 or 8. Mostly because it does sound like something that could give me a sound improvement, while also being pretty familiar (I like my Bass. And I will be coming off a 32$ gaming headset and Turtle Beach Earbuds, so it'll probably give me something familiar, but much more improved).

My pick of the bunch is the HD6 Mix if you want value, but if you want that bass and build quality see if you can stretch to the HD8. Keep in mind that they are kind of overkill for the average consumer in some ways though.

Awesome! May consider a purchase of one of these by the end of the year or later. Would probably also use while travelling, which should be helpful in considerations t build quality.
 
One question, though: How well can these things be powered off of mobile amps/amp & dac's?

I wouldn't run the HD6 Mix off a smartphone, but I think it would be just fine off a dedicated portable amp. The HD7 / HD8 seem to do decently enough on my iPhone 5S, though you have to turn up the volume more than your average portable. Nowhere near max levels though, so I didn't encounter any perceptible distortion.

I see you gave them away, I hope I like them. I needed a bassier can with comfort, but the M-100's just didn't fit. Something felt really odd about it. Focal Spirit Pro seemed to be pretty expensive while offering a neutral sound signature, and when I thought of it, I don't even need another can with a neutral signature. NAD Visio are dead ugly (I know I shouldn't judge headphones by looks but man are those ugly). If I don't like these I will get the NAD's instead.
 
For me, I prefer a warmer signature. I'd say most of my library is modern music, consisting of mainly modern Synthpop/Electro-Pop + Post-Hardcore.. One is that i see you like the D600 which i hated because of its plasticky mid and treble. It has great bass & isolation though.

Since you asked..........the bass quantity to MY ears - D600 hands down more depth and weight. Quality as well was better. I tried very hard to like the M-100. Bought it twice and ended up giving up even tho it should be a great portable solution. I felt the bass was not clear and did not have the depth to compare to the Denon.

Sorry, I should have caught it. The HD7 bass to me was so overwhelming I had to return it after a week. I tried burning them in every night, dropped my EQ, turned off the bass boost off, nothing made it sound good. And I'm a basshead.

So you can just imagine compared to the D600 and M-100 how the quantity was way more, and the quality wasn't as good either. I was bummed as I thought these would be the perfect portable headphone. And that proprietary cable...........fail.

That sounds really scary, I'll have to listen for myself and see. I will put up a review, in about two weeks.
