Just ordered my V-MODA BoomPro Mic today.. it'll take 1-2 weeks to get here so i decided to jerry rig my own lil modmic together. Took the mic off an old Logitech headset I had laying around and taped her up.. she aint pretty but she works! [IMG] lol. http://imgur.com/a/Revqg

OK, now that I had the Sennheiser 598, I'm going to take my first portable DAC / AMP, my choice is between these three options:
    - Schiit Fulla
    - FiiO E07K
    - FiiO E17K
    What do you reccomend?And why?
And what I have to buy cables for use outside? Counting that use it with an iPod Classic (160GB)
Thanks to those who have the patience to answer!

if you can get the E17 (not E17K) for a good price then I would go for it...it has opt/coax/usb in. it has line in/out and it has a nice EQ.
  4. DopeMusic
Unfortunately on amazon (Italy) there is only the E17K at 150 €, the E17 costs 250 €..I can't spend more than 150€
  5. Sam21
if you want it to be portable check out also the creative E5.
For desktop use AudioEngine D1 is a good DAC/AMP combo...you could also buy separate AMP and DAC...

    What are the differences betwenn:
    - FiiO E07K
    - FiiO E17K
The FiiO E17K now is 100$ on Massdrop!

here you can compare them :

What would you recommend if I were to buy a DAC and a separate AMP?
I never had neither one nor the other, and do not know what could have brought better sound quality. Listening to music from an old laptop Compaq Presario CQ60! I really have no idea what to buy!

I would recommend the HRT Microstreamer. It's compact, amazing sound quality and you can use it to upgrade the audio of your PC/Mac or Android phone. It sounds phenomenal and has plenty of power to drive all but the most demanding headphones. You can also use it as a DAC alone through the direct line out into a beefier amp if you so wish in the future. It truly is an amazing little box.

Something less expensive? I would not spend more than 100-110 €! The HRT is 181€ now on Amazon Italy

Have you tried used on ebay?
  12. XERO1
A new all-black HD 598SE is now available on Amazon for $199!
It also includes a short 1.2m cable with a 3.5mm connector (thank you!).

    DAMN them cans are SEXY!!!!
  14. amigomatt
Hey, are they the same in terms of sound?  Just cosmetically different?
  15. XERO1
Unknown.  But they probably have the same SQ as the regular HD 598.
